Using My Spiritual Life

My Spiritual Life is provided for personal spiritual practice and optional Sunday School participation. By creating or using an account, you agree to these Terms and to use the app responsibly and provide accurate account information.

Accounts and access

You are responsible for safeguarding your sign-in information and for all activity that occurs under your account. Account types and Sunday School roles are managed through the app's role-based access system. You may not use another person's account or attempt to access information you are not authorized to view. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Children's accounts

Accounts for children under 13 require verifiable parent or guardian consent before activation. A parent or guardian may revoke consent at any time as described in the Privacy Policy. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their child's use of the app. We do not knowingly permit children under 13 to use the app without parental consent.

Sunday School participation

Joining a Sunday School class is optional. Class codes are provided by authorized class leaders. Leaders and church administrators must use student information only for legitimate ministry and app-administration purposes, keep it confidential, and follow applicable law and church policies. Leaders may send encouraging messages to class members through the app; those messages must be appropriate, respectful, and consistent with their ministry role.

Priest connection

You may voluntarily add a priest to your account. By doing so, you consent to that priest viewing the permitted information described in the Privacy Policy. A priest who accesses information through the app must use it only for legitimate pastoral purposes, keep it confidential, and follow applicable church policies and law. You may remove a priest connection at any time in the app's settings.

Intellectual property

The app, its design, and its content are owned by My Spiritual Life and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the personal content you enter into the app, such as your spiritual progress records and reflections. By using the app, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that content solely to provide the app's features to you.

Respectful use

You may not misuse the app, interfere with its operation, submit unlawful or harmful content, impersonate another person, or attempt to bypass access controls. Violation of these Terms may result in suspension or termination of your account.

No medical, legal, or emergency service

The app provides spiritual-practice tools only. It does not provide medical, mental-health, legal, emergency, or professional pastoral advice. In an emergency, contact local emergency services or an appropriate qualified professional.

Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Your use of the app is at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, My Spiritual Life and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the app. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the app will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $10 if you have not made any payments.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the app will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

Changes and availability

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary to operate, secure, or improve the app. We may update these Terms by posting a revised version here and updating the "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will notify users through the app or by email. For material changes affecting children's accounts, we will seek renewed parental consent where required by law. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
